Shibaura Machine India (SMI) proudly presented our new manufacturing facility, Unit-II, at a grand ceremony graced by our customers, suppliers and colleagues from the plastic industry, ex-colleagues, and other esteemed well-wishers.
The event was officially inaugurated by Mr. Shigetomo Sakamoto, President, CEO, and COO of Shibaura Machine Co. Ltd., Japan, in the esteemed presence of Mr. Muneo Takahashi, Consul-General of Japan in Chennai, and Mr. Kazuaki Nakanishi, President of India Japan Lighting Pvt. Ltd. on July 11, 2024.
The new state-of-the-art facility is located adjacent to our Unit-I at Chembarambakkam, Chennai. This 11.3 acre engineering marvel is capable of manufacturing 3000 machines per annum. This unit will be one of the biggest manufacturing facilities among Shibaura Machine group and is capable of manufacturing even a 3500T machine.
This unit will manufacture All-Electric Injection moulding machines, Auxiliary Equipment range and will also introduce Shibaura Machine Japan’s Extrusion machines in the future. We thank all our Customers, Supplier and other stakeholders who helped us manifest our biggest edifice till date.
